Let Him Cook ! (Entry #8)

Hello friends! I hope you haven't missed me,

In this article, I want to talk about a major problem for today's young people or even students,

 COOKING.

The ability to cook food can be said to be very easy, until

you get to take the knife in your hand and try to cook.

Since I started my studies at college, and also having a job in addition to my courses at college, I've

been forced to cook, but all this time I didn't know how to cook

nutritional food that would help me have enough energy to study, I didn't even know

what I would need specifically to cook certain dishes.

But I don't think I was the only one in a situation like this so far, so I want to talk about cooking.

When you move into a student apartment alone, in the first few days you won't even know what

to buy for an adequate student kitchen, so I'll start with that.

We will need at least a pot, a pan, a set of knives, a chopper, some bowls, basic cutlery, and plates along with some glasses. (many of these products can also be found second-hand or at discounts).

With this equipment, we can say that we will have a classic student kitchen.

Like any student, we can say that we will not have much time available to

cook food all day, so we will have to plan our meals in advance.

What this means is that it would be recommended that before going shopping you make a list and

think about what you would like to eat for the next few days.

And so, we ended up having everything planned and equipped with what we need to cook our food.

After we brought the basic ingredients from the shopping list,

we can start preparing!

Every student is looking to make food as fast, efficient and tasty as possible, so I will give some basic

recipes that we can easily satisfy our appetites during our time as students:

Pasta with quick sauce:

You need a bag of spaghetti, penne or fusilli, it is preferred, put a jar of tomato sauce, garlic, olive oil and the most important ingredient, grated parmesan. Boil the pasta according to the instructions on any spaghetti package we find (around 5-10 minutes should be put after we see that the water boils).

In parallel, to save time, heat the oil in a pan, sauté the garlic and add the tomato sauce.

After some time of boiling the pasta, and heating the sauce for a few minutes, we can

drain the pasta from the boiling water and add the sauce together with grated parmesan on top.

And finally we have some pasta with tomato sauce and parmesan

Another recipe I can recommend is...

Rice with assorted Vegetables and Chicken

You will need 100g of rice, mixed frozen vegetables and chicken breast.

Heat the frozen vegetables in a pot with a little oil. Add the rice and mix.

Pour water (twice the amount of rice) and add a little salt or other seasonings you want along with the oil. Let it simmer over low heat, covered, until the rice absorbs

all the water. And during this time, you can put the chicken breast seasoned with salt and paprika in the air fryer to fry at the same time at 350F.

Cooking as a student doesn't have to be a hassle. With a little organization and a few simple recipes, you can eat well, healthily and without spending a fortune.

Experiment, adapt the recipes to your tastes and enjoy the process! I hope you like my recipes, tell me in the comments if they turned out well for you.
