Hello everyone,
This is my first blog post for my
English 101 class. Our teacher encouraged this project to help us develop our
research and writing skills authentically.
In this post, I'll discuss two blogs that I found very engaging. Before I begin, it's important to understand that each blog author has their own style of expressing for their audience, some authors prefer to express themselves in a “personal” approach , meaning that blog is preferable for their family or for anyone who wants to read, but there are also other categories such as “professional/corporate” focusing on creating marketable content or reaching a specific target audience. There are also two other types, "participatory journalism" and "professional journalism" , but in this article we will only talk about "professional" blog and a "personal" one
The first Blog I want to present to you is Men's Health , this is a blog that is mainly focused on the professional idea , the author's intention is to inform, inspire, and engage its target audience , primarily men but not only , on topics related to fitness, health, lifestyle, and self-improvement. Such a blog related like this , is very advantageous for to days we live in right now , in which we really need information on topics such as we have on this site , showing how to do fitness exercises .
The main thing that I really liked from this blog, It was
the tone that is conversational and motivational, making you feel like , you
are getting an advice from a trusted friend rather than a lecture , that kept
my attention.
The second blog I would like to share with you is a
“Personal” type of blog, having a different audience, focused primarily
on women related to help with resources regarding traveling alone in the world
based on the author’s experience and guidance.
The name of this blog is The Blonde Abroad. The author wanted to start the blog by telling a little part of her past and her personal choices that got her to this point. The website is organized based on articles with guides on each situation you might have or need to travel. An example of information that offers the author , is sharing about the destinations she visited, helping you find the type of vacation based on your preference, or other resources such as information on "earning money abroad" or traveling cheaper.
One of the things that caught my attention from this blog was the colors that matched the blog's theme, but also the variety of professional photos from each destination.
In conclusion of these two spoken articles, we can see that both are aimed at certain selective audiences of people, I usually suggest blogs that offer information for all audiences of readers, but in the end of the day, we humans gather information from anywhere, as long as it is for our benefits.
On this article I represented my blogging practice as casual but also professional type of blog , by showing pictures , share links and I provided information based on blogs.
Take it easy y'all !!
